“Qualifying achievements so far”

1-      Ahmed Zaher qualifies for Trapshooting competitions in the Olympics after winning the silver in the qualifying World Cup in Mexico after a great performance and a great achievement from the player.

2-      Our world champion “Azmy Mehelba” qualifies for the Skeet shooting competitions in the Olympics after winning the qualifying World Cup bronze in Finland.

3-      Ali Khalfallah achieves Standard A , which qualifies directly for the Tokyo Olympics in the 50-meter  front crawl in 21:98 minutes in the semi-finals of the World Swimming Championships in Korea.

4-      Our young world champion “Mohamed Ibrahim Kisho” qualifies for the 67 kg competitions for Romanian wrestling in the Olympics after achieving the fifth place in the senior world championship in Kazakhstan.

5-      Our world champion “Giana Farouk” qualifies for the 61 kg karate competitions in the Olympics after maintaining the second place among the top four in the Olympic weight classification to become the first Egyptian, Arab and African to qualify for the Olympics in karate.

6-      Egypt is participating for the first time in its history in the tennis competitions in the Olympics, through Mohamed Safwat in men and Mayar Sherif in women, after each of them won gold at the African Games in Morocco.

7-      The Egyptian national rhythmic gymnastics team qualifies for the first time in its history for the teams competitions in the Olympics, after winning the gold in the African qualifying championship in Cairo.

8-      The Egyptian equestrian team returns to participate in the Olympic teams competitions after an absence of 60 years after winning the gold in the African and Middle East qualifiers in Morocco after beating Qatar and Morocco.

9-      Kholoud Mansy is the first Egyptian female sail player to participate in the Olympics after winning the silver in the African qualifying championship. The Egyptian participation was limited to men only.

10-  Egypt qualifies for all Olympic table tennis competitions, "the men's and women's teams - and the men's and women's singles" after winning the teams' gold at the African Games in Morocco.”In addition to the mixed doubles competitions through Omar Asr and Dina Meshref after winning the African Cup gold”.

11-  The Egyptian handball team qualifies for the Olympics after winning the African qualifying championship title on the land of its traditional rival Tunisia after a great performance.

12-  The Egypt U-22 national football team returns to the Olympics after winning the African qualifying championship in Cairo after a great performance.

13-  Egypt equals the historical number for the number of sports in which it participates in the Olympics, which is 22 in the Rio 2016 tournament, despite the absence of weightlifting and volleyball but tennis and karate have replaced them.

“Hopefully, we will exceed this number after players of other sports such as Judo have qualified”.
